APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR 2016 ART ON THE SQUARE 

Art on the Square, a fine art and craft festival in downtown Kennett Square, PA is now seeking professional fine artists and craft artisans to apply to participate in the event on Saturday, April 30, 2016, 10-5 p.m. Artists interested in applying should visit www.artonthesquare.org for prospectus and digital application.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2016. Notifications be emailed by end of day on March 18, 2016. Accepted artists will contribute a vendor fee, which covers the costs of the event. This rain-or-shine open air event will accept 60-juried professional artist applicants specializing in two-dimensional and three-dimensional disciplines: painting, illustration, sculpture, glass, wood, photography, jewelry, pottery, fibers, mixed media, and furniture making.

Artists will be onsite to promote and sell their original artwork, to communicate directly with the public, and to represent the diverse culture within the region.

Now in its fifth year, Art on the Square will be located at the intersection of W. State Street and S. Broad Streets, in downtown Kennett Square, PA. S. Broad Street will be closed to vehicle traffic to accommodate the growing festival.

Interested artists should visit www.artonthesquare.org for prospectus and digital application. Artists will be able to select standard 10’x10’ and double 10’x20’ booth spaces preferences during the application process. There is no fee to apply to Art on the Square. Applicants will be carefully reviewed by the planning committee based on the following criteria: product quality, uniqueness, and overall fit with the aesthetic of Art on the Square. Based on variety and available space, not all applicants can be accepted.

Art on the Square is presented by Kennett Area Restaurants and Merchants Association (KARMA).
